Meet Riley & the Chaos Crew
Hello there, I’m Riley 👋
Welcome to my world of handcrafted joy. In my sunlit corner of the house, I spend my days stitching together little crochet companions and reimagining old textiles into one-of-a-kind bags. It’s a slow, rhythmic process fueled by juice and the rhythmic hum of purring cats.
My feline assistants—Benji, Nova, and Scar—are the true heart of my space. They provide constant inspiration, whether they’re "supervising" from my lap or testing the softest yarns. I also carry the memories of Jonny and Kitty in every stitch; they were the original muses who made this space feel like comfort.
For me, crochet is a meditative journey of colour and texture. I love how a single hook and a shift in material can transform a simple concept into a unique piece of art. Every item is crafted with intention and packed with care.
You can find my work breathing life into new creations at Kelham Bazaar in Sheffield or right here online.
Thank you for supporting this small dream and keeping my chaos crew in treats and cozy naps.
Hello there, I’m Riley 👋
In my cosy corner of the house, I spend my days making little crochet companions and turning old textiles into one-of-a-kind bags. It’s a slow, calming process powered by tea and the gentle purr of my cats.
You’ll find my pieces bringing new life to fashion at Kelham Bazaar in Sheffield and here online, each one made with care, colour, and a bit of chaos.
Kind To Earth Designs
I grew up being taught not to litter and to look after the world around me — we only get one Earth, after all.
Recycling has always been part of my life, but it took me a long time to realise I could do the same with fabric. I was raised in a family where every penny mattered. Second-hand was normal, and I often wore clothes passed down from my sister. I never felt lacking though — I felt loved, cared for, and grateful for what we had.
That love of “making do” has grown into a real passion. I adore wandering around charity shops, knowing each find does two good things: the charity gets support, and I get a “new to me” treasure. Charity shops are full of stories — pieces that may have travelled across the world or sat in a wardrobe for years. Giving new life to those forgotten fabrics has become a bit of an obsession, and I try my hardest to use every last scrap.

I was raised in a family where every penny counted, so second-hand was our default. That “make the most of what you have” mindset is now at the heart of Hook’d by Riley.
I love hunting for treasures in charity shops, knowing each find supports a good cause and saves fabric from going to waste. Turning forgotten textiles into something new and loved is my favourite kind of magic.
